The weather for the day was... Low temperature was 33, high temperature was 58.
Clear all day! Not a cloud in the sky. A little brisk.

This year, the players shot 51 darts for a high score. The team event was a total of 204 darts. Winners for the year are

A little story about this years event from the event director
So, we're only in August, but we're already starting to get things done. I've filed paperwork with MAWNJ for the event. I've confirmed with Cook AA the dates. I expect to have raffle applications in by mid-September. It seems like each year, there's always some holdup on raffles, so the earlier the better. Let's hope this year. January 2nd... Raffles are in hand - I'll start selling at the Chesney next weekend. Also, I expect the letters to the local sports teams to go out this week. Those items are always a big hit and really drive the silent auction. I'll also likely get the dart companies started pretty early. In general they've been great and also send quite a bit of product that we use in a variety of ways. So we're a few days out now. Shirts and the book are out for printing. We have a total of 170 sponsors this year. That's up a bunch from last year. It also looks like we're going to crush the $25,000 goal, and with some luck, we could hit $30,000!!! So we came in at around $32,500 initially. There was some talk that the ABCD and Tri-County leagues in North Jersey were going to try and send some donations. Hope to see them soon. We'll be doing our check ceremony on April 30th, the same night as our GTDL A Division Finals. We also found out that this is the last year we'll be working with Kristina Maglietta at MAWNJ. She's been our MAW contact for six years now, and has been instrumental in our success. Kristina is moving on to Apple in a few weeks. Good Luck Kristina!
